Helping hospitals improve their
patient experience for over 30 years
At Patient Guide Solutions, we believe that clear, compassionate information has the power to change patient experiences for the better.
Every day, patients and families are faced with overwhelming healthcare decisions. Too often, they are given complex, confusing information at a time when they are vulnerable and anxious. We saw an opportunity to make that experience easier — not just for patients, but for the hospitals working hard to care for them.
We created Patient Guide Solutions to bridge that gap.
Our work is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: When patients understand their care, they are more confident, more engaged, and more likely to have better outcomes. By providing hospitals with expertly crafted educational materials, we help them connect with patients in a way that builds trust, reduces uncertainty, and supports healing.
We take pride in creating resources that are clear, accessible, and ready to use. From print guides to our online Patient Resource Library, everything we deliver is designed to meet the highest standards of accuracy, readability, and compassion.
Healthcare is complicated. Communication shouldn’t be.
That is why we do what we do — to help hospitals deliver better information, and to help patients feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
Our History
Patient Guide Solutions was originally established in 1971 as Video Viewing by Bob Hall. The company started as a local TV guide printing company and ad sales business, with TV guides typed up at the kitchen table by Bob’s sister-in-law, Gayle.
The company’s trajectory changed when a friend and administrator at a local hospital requested Bob to print his hospital patient guide, as the local printer was unable to meet the deadline. This marked the beginning of Video Viewing’s foray into patient guide printing, starting with the first patient guide at a local hospital in Little Rock, AR.
In 1983, Video Viewing had expanded its services to include printing of patient guides with TV guides inserted, serving 80 clients. The company remained in its current location on Otter Creek, in Mabelvale, Arkansas since 1984. In 1992, Video Viewing installed its first in-house printing press.
The company underwent a rebranding in 2008, changing its name to Healthy Advice, and then again in 2012 to PatientPoint. The current name, Patient Guide Solutions, was adopted in 2023. Despite the name changes, the company remains committed to its roots and still has many employees who have been with the company since its inception as Video Viewing.
Patient Guide Solutions continues to offer the same patient-focused product, now with a larger team, and is dedicated to providing high-quality patient guide solutions to its clients.
